Areas of special interest at The Felt Sense

❋ Trauma and Post-Traumatic Growth

Trauma can leave us feeling hypervigilant, frequently disconnected, or unsure of what safety is meant to feel like in our bodies. If you live with the effects of complex trauma/PTSD, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), or experiences that continue to hinder your sense of safety and connection, The Felt Sense may be able to help. We can work together to map out the function of coping behaviours, and promote self-compassion for all parts of self. In doing so, we can strengthen your ability to self-actualise, and to identify “glimmers” (i.e., opposites of emotional triggers) to promote safety and nervous system regulation.

❋ Attachment and Relational Difficulties

Our relationships form the blueprint with which we navigate the world around us. Relational wounds across the lifespan can create coping patterns that inhibit our ability to meaningfully connect with ourselves and others. People-pleasing, shutting down, fear of abandonment and protest behaviours in relationships are just a few examples of this. If you resonate with any of these experiences, The Felt Sense may be a good fit for you. Together we can work to demystify what your attachment system is asking for, through strengthening emotion regulation and self-soothing skills, and finding the confidence to assertively set boundaries.

❋ AuDHD (including late diagnosed)

Regardless of if you have a diagnosis, are newly or late diagnosed, or find yourself resonating with neurodivergent experiences, you are welcome here. My practice is neuroaffirming, and celebrates difference rather than viewing it as a deficit to be fixed. Together we can explore your unique strengths, balancing self-acceptance with practical strategies for navigating daily challenges. My aim is allow you to safely unmask.

❋ Identity and Belonging

The lens’ we view ourselves through are often informed by the narratives that we have heard about ourselves from others. Shame-based identities can surface in environments where our diverse identities are not respected. I support people across the lifespan, including adolescents and adults navigating gender, sexuality, culture or life transitions. My work has a strong intersectionality focus, and aims to guide you as you redefine your narrative and make space for strength-based identities.

People come to The Felt Sense for all kinds of reasons. You don’t need a tidy story or a single diagnosis to belong here.
